Correlations
Today we talked a lot about qualitative and quantitative data and all of the different ways they are used to analyze society. We watched the rest of the video on the guy who was going around and interviewing people about their music and why they play it. He thought that it was a reason to get together and talk about politics but he found out that he was wrong and that they believe that talking about politics separates people and they want to stay close and have a nice time playing music together. This kind of data is qualitative because he is collecting informational d ata about their opinions, not something with a number such as how many people get together to play music. Qualitative data gets more descriptive data. You are getting to know your data set and the people or things that you are analyzing much better because you are getting actual information about the subject.
